Day 1: Trabzon — City Tour
Start with a sightseeing tour of central Trabzon. Hagia Sophia, Atatürk Mansion, Boztepe, and the Bazaar... Try fish bread along the coastal route.
Day 2: Sumela — Hamsiköy
Visit the magnificent Sumela Monastery in the morning. For lunch, sample Hamsiköy's famous rice pudding. In the afternoon, drive to Maçka Atatürk Botanical Park.
Day 3: Uzungöl — Çaykara
Spend a full day on the way to Uzungöl. Don't miss Şolma Plateau, Uzungöl, and the Soğanlı Tunnel. Stay overnight in a wooden bungalow.
Day 4: Rize — Ayder
Tea gardens, Anzer honey, Ayder thermal hot springs and Pokut Plateau. The Fırtına Valley is breathtaking. End your day with a Hemşin breakfast.
Day 5: Artvin — Hopa — Return
Karagöl-Sahara National Park, the road to Şavşat... Don't miss the Sarp border gate. Return by hugging the coastline back to Trabzon.
